Typical Weekend on the farm

I rode into glorious Indianola (hee hee) yesterday evening after 6pm and straight out to Jason's farm where they were cutting corn. This was a first experience for me....that is, to see combines cutting corn up close and personal. It's a rather dusty job, but Jason tells me that's good because then it's dry enough and the moisture is low enough to harvest. Duh...So anyway, Jason wasn't actually on the combine at the time, but he was riding around in his Toyota office supervising! Isn't my life exciting???!!!!

A boring Friday morning

TGIF!!! Yes, it's Friday and it is a slow one here at the office so I have been toodling with the Picnik photos and decided now would be as good a time as any to add some more pics and blog stuff to my blogspot. First, here are a few of my very closest and dearest friends (in no particular order!) This is me and Tera. She has been my rock for a long long time. We met in 4th grade and have been best friends since. She lives close to me in Monticello, her and all them kids!!! She and I are so much alike....we even dress alike without planning it (as you can see in this photo LOL). This was Valentine's night this year. I know it sounds corny but we went out to eat together for Valentine's at The River. She needed to get out and away, and my honey was in MS. Tera lost her husband of 12 years back in January. Bobby was also a very close friend to me. He will be greatly missed and remembered always.

Now here is another special and very close friend of mine....Melanie (pictured with her sweetie pie daughter Payton). Melanie and I grew up along side of each other in Jennie. We probably met before Kindergarten!!! She and I have been best pals since...we've seen each other through some rough patches and have stayed close all these years. Melanie has been an inspiration to me because she's always been upbeat and thankful for anything and everything she has! She is also the most talented and craftiest person I know....The girl can paint, lay flooring, decorate, garden, you name it....she can do it and do it so pretty! Payton is her little darling that is all of 4 years old. She is the cutest little thing!!!

And last but certainly and definately not least is Crystal. This is one of the very few photos I have of her. Crystal and I became fast quick friends when she was just in 6th grade and I in 7th grade. From that point on we were inseparable!!! Oh the laughs and pranks and crazy times we had. That was all cut short when her life was taken March 7, 1990. She was only 16, a somphomore at Lakeside. Her life ended tragically and I won't post how or who or any details out of sheer respect for her memory. Crystal remains in my heart and mind daily and all those times we had will never be forgotten. After her mom, sister and brother moved away in 1992, I lost contact with them. Thanks to the internet and email I have recently located them way off in Indiana. Rest in peace sweet Crystal....smile on us from Heaven!

Well, there you have it! These are 3 of my bestest, closest and truest friends I have. Of course I have more friends than this.....I just don't have pictures right now to post! HEE HEE!!

The "Office"

Well this is where it all happens.....right here in "the office".....yes, this is my desk in my very own office. This seems to be my home away from home, well at least since 1995! I come here everyday and serve our wonderful county farmers and "manage" some mighty fine folks.

Here's one of these fine folks I mentioned.....Brandon....in his natural form. Yes, that is a crossword puzzle he's working! LOL! I've worked along side of him since I came here in 1995. We are most like a family up here. We share lots of ideas and "opinions", even when we don't want to hear them!! HA! Yes, Big B, as some call him, has been a great co-worker over the years.

And here's yet another co-worker...Not one I manage, but he works across the hall. Well, if work is what you call what he does!! No, he's been here almost 2 years now and I must say having another person around mine and Brandon's age has surely lightened the mood up here. PBS stands for Pot Bellied Stallion. That's what he likes to call himself anyway. He's just full of pranks. Why I don't know what we'd do without his fart machine or smart-alic quips around here........We'd probably get more work done!

This is James from across the hall. He's actually Mark's boss!!! Yep this boy sure knows how to "delegate".... He's the baby in the group--just turned 27!!! What would we do if we weren't able to hear about Camden, Jonesoboro, his cousins, or his buddies everyday???? HAHA. I must say he's easy to work with and he will get some stuff done for me--if I slap him around good enough!

And here is the lady who knows it all....seen it all...and can do it all.....Sandy Grayson. She has worked for this agency for 28+ years and she knows stuff I have yet to figure out. She saves my neck day in and day out. This was her priceless Christmas gift she got playing Dirty Santa at our office Christmas party.....I think someone was a "dirty" rat for even wrapping that up!!! But don't she look pleased! HAHA! This is now an heirloom for her beloved children to inherit.

Just look at those toes go.......

Yee Ha I done went and got me a pedicure today....not exactly what I thought these toes would look like though. It was worth every penny getting these old dogs soaked, oiled up, rubbed up and down, scrubbed, scraped and painted. Definately will not ever be any worry of me having a job like these hard working ladies at Lovely Nails.....Nope, I ain't a fan of anybody else's feet. But it was a very relaxing and calming 1st experience for me today.

Not as talented as I thought....

It seems that all this time I have labled myself as "computer savvy", that I can't even get this simple blog background to work for me!! Thank goodness my sister has more experience and evidently (more time) on her hands to get it worked out for me. Today being Thursday means "packing day" for Christa and Co. Yes, we all pack our bags and go away every weekend....ALWAYS somewhere besides home. I will go to Indianola, the kids will either go to their dad's, grandparents, aunts, or with me some weekends. This has become a ritual developed over the last 9 months that I've been dating JasonK. Well, I guess I could try to go home and work on my pictures and post them as cute as my lil sis Angela has and do all that fancy stuff.....but that means the kids will have to just go hungry!! HAHA!! Later!!!

My son

My son
Spencer Cole Tice is 16 fixing to turn 17 on Nov. 5th. He's finally took a growth spurt and is a little taller than me now. He has been like the son my dad never had and helps out at the farm and with his cows, which dad treats like his pets or kids! HAHA

My daughter

My daughter
Caitlin Ashley Dupwe is 7 and will turn 8 on Nov. 1st. She's a 2nd grader this year. Jason and I call her "Killdee" because she's got the skinniest legs and runs so fast! She has dark curly hair, which came from my Dad's sister and daughter I guess. They are the only ones in the family with hair like that!

Across The River

Across The River
Jason K and I :) Here is the love of my life now. And he lives "across the river" in Indianola. I found him, well he actually found me, 9 months ago and it's been sweet bliss since. I know he looks unhappy in this photo. We were at his mother's and she was directing us on where to pose....need I say more?? Anyway, I love this man with all my heart.

The Parents

The Parents
Honcho and Philly in their natural form! What else can I say that this photo doesn't say?? I have the craziest and funniest dad on earth. And Moma fusses and puts up with his crazy antics. But they have been the best parents a daughter could have. Oh man, will this be me and Jason 20 years from now??? LOL

Niece

Niece
Brooklynn Nicole Santucci is 8 and will turn 9 on Nov. 13th. All 3 of my parents grandchildren were born in November!! When she was smaller, I had her with me so much that folks thought she was my kid instead of Caitlin!! She's in 3rd grade this year.

Sisters

Sisters
Angela and Amanda-the TWINS....almost 8 years my juniors. It has taken a lot of years of growing up so that we can be more "sisterly". I don't have enough space here to write all about them girls!!

Bro In Law

Bro In Law
Jared Pieroni and Angela on their Wedding Day October 20, 2007. What a wedding!! I never had a brother growing up, so having Jared in the fam is a new experience! Although I think I work with Jared more than I actually get to be a sister-in-law to him! HA
